Nilesh Moharir’s soulful music suits the situations well. But what is more surprising is that the pre-climax twist is also the same in both the films and that too involving the same actor – Sai Tamhankar! If it’s a co-incidence, it’s a huge one indeed! Apart from this, the scene between Aarti and a watchman appears unwanted. Secondly, as stated above, the story is very similar to Time Please minus the delightful character of Himmatrao. One can’t ignore it as ‘just a scene’ because the entire story is based on it. Firstly, the main issue of Satya throwing Aarti out of his house isn’t convincing since problems between the couple hadn’t reached such a high level.

Scenes inside Satya’s office deserve special mention as that is exactly the case in today’s target-oriented era.īut the film has two major problems.
MANGALASTAKA ONCE MORE PROFESSIONAL
The clash between Satyajit aka Satya’s personal and professional life is handled with maturity through some realistic scenes at both fronts.
MANGALASTAKA ONCE MORE PLUS
If you haven’t, the Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve starrer can be seen once for some appealing moments and, of course, the lead couple.įirst, let’s come to the plus points. If you have seen that film, you won’t be too impressed with Sameer Joshi’s debut Mangalashtak Once More since it is like a not-so-convincing remake of the former. Review: Sameer Vidwan’s effective and mature romantic flick Time Please – Love Story Lagna Nantarchi was released just less than four months ago. After their relation reaches a new low, they are separated. Although they love each other, there are constant fights between them, due to which they are also not able to bear a child. Story Outline: Married couple Satyajit (Swapnil Joshi) and Aarti (Mukta Barve) are going through a troubled phase due to the former’s target-oriented job in a radio station. A must watch for those recently married, about to marry or even married for a long time! It throws light on relationships challenged by modern day work and so called ‘Professionalism’.Cast: Swapnil Joshi, Mukta Barve, Sai Tamhankar, Kadambari Kadam, Hemant Dhome, Vijay Patwardhan Overall it’s a decent film made with genuine intentions. The proceedings do not get boring since the dialogues are so from our day to day life and witty at times also!Įxtra dose of brand endorsements and too many scenes in similar fine dine restaurants is a bit irritating after a point.

The director (Sameer Joshi) has handled this very serious story with brilliance by touching upon every aspect of modern life post-marriage romance and modern day work-life. The climax that is quite anticipated takes time to culminate and one may get bored. The script could have been a bit more crisp, especially towards the finale. Direction, editing, background score, etc are all perfect. The maturity that Kadambari Kadam displays is a pleasant surprise.Īll other technical aspects are good. We loved it because of use of proper and mature Marathi words in the poetry and not the regular Hinglish slangs which have become quite common these days in Marathi cinema.Īll the lead and supporting actors do a very fine job, especially Mukta Barve and Sai Tamhankar stealing the show. Very simply composed and some very nice poetry. The best part is audience feel for the characters which is very rare to find in the cinema these days.Īnother great part of the film that we really appreciated is the songs.
MANGALASTAKA ONCE MORE MOVIE
The movie is for a mature audience and has mature characters behaving rationally and irrationally. Highlight of the film is obviously the electrifying chemistry between Swapnil and Mukta. Characters like Satya’s boss (Sai Tamhankar), his friend (Hemant Dhome) and Aarati’s sister (Kadambari Kadam) add the required dose of fun and philosophy. The proceedings get interesting with different characters having a particular and specific role to play. What happens next in the story is better be watched on screen. With all the stress accumulated because of demanding job and doting wife, Satya just explodes like a bomb and asks Aarati to leave the house. The doctor also has the same solution, try to ‘stay happy’! This also being a reason for not having a child yet, they consult with the doctor. Thanks to Satya’s stressful professional life and doting nature of Aarati. Married life of a young couple with no kids, college sweethearts Satya(Swapnil) and Aarati(Mukta), is now very much routine and romance is on the verge of dying. Though the title makes film very predictable, we were not hesitant to enter the theatre only because of the lead pair which has not failed on screen, Swapnil-Mukta! Continuing the recent trend in Marathi cinema, ‘Mangalashtak: Once More’ has its own take on Love after Marriage.
